Ryan's Rainbow Emergency Food Outreach

Ken Ryan, known affectionately as the "King of Kensington" in his North Burnaby neighborhood began a small community outreach program some years ago which operated out of Cliff Avenue United Church.  Ken was unfailingly generous of his time and served his community until his unfortunate passing.

With the support of the church board, and ministry team leader Teresa Rasquinha , the Ryan's Rainbow Outreach was created to work alongside the pre-existing Friday morning Cob's Bread Outreach Ministry, led by Lynn Field.

Collecting food and cash donations weekly, the group assists the most vulnerable in the community to make ends meet on an ongoing basis, and organizes Christmas hampers for families during the holiday season. More hands are ALWAYS needed and appreciated!!  Annual tax-receipts are issued through the Cliff Ave Church office for all financial donations exceeding $20.

For more information, to make a donation or if you would like to volunteer your time to the Ryan's Rainbow Emergency Food Outreach program, please email the church office at [email protected] or call Teresa directly at 604-761-4357 (HELP).
